Glowing in Laguna
Sunil and I got our first two days away. What a nice break. No kids, just us, it made us remember that warm feeling you get when you can just be romantic and around adults. No spit up, crying or hair pulling. We stayed in Laguna Beach at Surf and Sand resort, courtesy of Sunil's dad, Madhu, with the ocean literally just beyond or room balcony. We slept with the doors open to hear the beach waves. The days included yoga on the beach, the movie Eat, Pray, Love, a sunset walk on the beach, and dinner out to Mexican and Thai. So relaxing, so lovely.

Disneyland- The Happiest Place on Earth
Another place I love is Disneyland. I just can't get enough of anything Disney. Three of Jahni's favorite shows are made by Disney -- Tigger and Pooh Super Sleuths, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and her latest favorite The Little Einsteins. I now catch myself humming the theme song for these shows at work, on the bus, or wherever because they are so catchy.
Disneyland was literally the perfect day. Perfect weather- not too hot or cold, perfect lines- nice and short, perfect food- we ate every couple hours at different places. Then we drove back to home base in Palm Springs. Although Jahni may not understand everything, she definitely knows we were doing something for her and she sure had fun.

Chaitra's Bachelorette
I love Vegas! It has been about two years since I last went with my friend Becky and I sure did miss it. We had so much fun- including a pole dancing class, high tea at the Bellagio, and dinner at China Grill at the Mandalay Bay. Who knew I still had it in me to stay up until 3:30am (that is 6:30am east coast time)?

Smith Family Playground
Philly has an amazing play house- yes, I wrote that right, a huge mansion in Fairmount park donated for the use of children's play only. There are several rooms including a car garage with little tike bikes and cars, complete with a road and traffic signals, a reading room with shelves of books, a toy room, and a gigantic outdoor playscape with multiple sections for infants/toddlers, smaller kids, and big kids. We stayed outdoors on the swings with Jahni's friend Suri, who we ran into at the playground.
