Visit from Family Friends

Our family friends, the Gulatis, came to visit Jahni. The brought a cute snowsuit and outfit. Here are some pics with them. Before they came we were watching movies - "The Proposal', even though we've seen it before, and the old, old movie, "Wall Street", with Charlie Sheen and Michal Douglas. Apparently they are making a remake of the movie called "Wall Street 2" now.

Playing in the Park

Our G-Unit went to the park to have a little fun with Jahni. We went on the swings, playscape and slide at Simsbury Farms, the reacretional center by my house. This was also Jahni's second time meeting a dog. This one was a Lab.

Tabla with Grandpa (Ajja)

My dad loves playing the tabla and singing bhajans. He also played the kartals for Jahni. She loved it!! It was like her own music class. She also liked the piano (although it hasn't been tuned in years).

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday!! It was filled with good food- corn, stuffing, paneer makhani, mashed potatoes, yams, lasagna, gobi manchurian, pullao, apple and pumpkin pie.

The Queen is in the House

Jahnavi is a little princess. Here is her first trip to CT to visit the house where her mom grew up. We went up for Thanksgiving leaving early Thursday morning and returning early Sunday.

I wanted to make full use of my baby's costume, so we took some nice pics of her and grandma.

Family Pics

We got to see a little of Uncle Avi when my mom was in town. He is close by at UPenn so we hang out about once a week or so. This was us making a stylish trip shopping during the "Friends and Family" sales.

Chifa

My mom came for a week to help us take care of Jahni while I started my first week of work. I got a new job!! This was very exciting, especially given the current economic climate. I'm the new associate at a small law firm in downtown Philadelphia called Billet and Associates. I wouldn't go looking up the firm website because it hasn't been updated in ages, but hopefully they will at some point and my bio will be online.

I have my own office and I've been given a secretary and I like the people I work with so far. Jahnavi started daycare a week after I left and it is very close to the office so I get to see her often at lunch.

These pics are from our last hurrah, dinner at Chifa, a new restaurant by restauranteur Jose Garces. The food was amazing. Some of the best I've had in Philly- I highly recommend it!

Precious

Sometimes babies scratch themselves, so we tried mittens, but that didn't work so well. Doesn't she look like a porcelain doll in this pic?

Happy Halloween

My college friend, Laurie, and her husband, Ted, hosted a Halloween party. They were a Viking couple and I was a sexy flight attendant. Jahni was a ladybug- I'd take any chance for her to wear that costume again- she is the cutest in it! This was also her very first time meeting a dog and she was so curious/weirded out by the little creature. The other pic is me, Jahni and my friend Sarah Ann.
